Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis has pledged to build a “safety balcony” on the new $600 million Coliseum, the team announced Thursday.

The team is building a $1 billion, 100,000-square-foot, $200 million-plus stadium, with a glass roof that will be open to the elements.

Davis says he wants the balcony to help fans relax in the Coliseum and give fans a better view of the field, as well as provide more privacy.

The balcony will also have security cameras to allow fans to easily see their team and their opponents.

Davis also promised that the balcony will not have a roof-mounted roof.

Davis says he will use a new roof-level canopy on the balcony.
